Guard Places Third at Season's First Contest

The Clear Brook Winter Guard placed third at the Texas Color Guard Circuit (TCGC) contest at Cy Springs on Saturday. The astronomy-themed show, "Before There Was Light," had the highest movement and equipment score in all the "A" classes.Guard to Compete on Saturday

Region band students should be at Pearland Ninth Grade Center (4717 Bailey Rd.) at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. They will rehearse 3:30-7:30 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-noon Saturday. Lunch will be on their own from noon-1:30 p.m. Then they will rehearse 1:30-5 p.m. The concert will be at 7 p.m. at the Pearland Ninth Grade Center Auditorium. Students participating in the clinic and concert should take their concert uniforms home this week. They may pick them up from the uniform room during or after school (self serve) and return them the following week.Clear Brook Band Ready for 2007
