Top Two Bands Score Ones

Saturday, April 29 2006

Congratulations to our three bands who performed in the UIL contests April 26-28 at Dobie High School! Wind Ensemble made straight ones on stage for the concert and in sight-reading at its UIL concert contest. Assistant director Mike Ary said that as far back as the directors can find records, this was the first time the second band had achieved that honor. The first band, Wind Symphony, also earned ones on stage and in sight reading the following day. Symphonic Band, the third band, made a two on stage and three in sightreading. That score was an improvement over previous years.
