Clear Brook Band's performance time at the BOA competition at Rice University on Saturday has been changed to 3:30 p.m. The box office and gates open at 8:30 a.m. and preliminary competition begins at 9 a.m. The stadium will be cleared at 5 p.m. and gates open again for finals at 6:45 p.m. The first finals performance is an hour later. General admission tickets at the gate are $24 for the prelims and finals; parking is $5. No audio/video recording is allowed.Bring Lunch for BOA Competition

Students going to the Bands of America competition at Rice University on Saturday are to be at the school at 8 a.m. for practice. The new departure time is noon. The meal provided by the band fee, probably a Schlotzsky's sandwich, chips and cookie, will be served at 4 p.m., after the students march. For this reason, the students will be given a break for an early lunch around 10:30 a.m. Parents should send sack lunches with their students or make arrangements to bring a meal to the students at Clear Brook at that time.Three Football Games Rescheduled

The Brook football website has announced the rescheduling of three football games because of the hurricane. The Galveston game is on Friday, September 30; the Pearland game is on Tuesday, October 4; and the Brazoswood game is scheduled for Saturday, October 8. Bring your family and neighbors out to eat with the band kids after practice on Thursday, September 15. BandCouncil is having a fundraiser at the Chick-Fil-A at Bay Area and I-45 from 6-8 p.m. When ordering your dinner,
please be sure to say that you are with the Clear Brook Band. The cashier will save all our receipts and give 10 percent of the total back to Band Council. This will help us have an awesome band banquet. Hope to see you there!

The first monthly meeting of the new school year for the Clear Brook Band Booster Club is at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the band hall. We will vote on the proposed budget and learn more about the marching season program. You will also have the opportunity to join the booster club, pick up a band directory and purchase spirit items and Scripadvantage gift certificates from Kroger, as well as a variety of retail outlets and restaurants.Ways to Help Hurricane Victims

Clear Brook students and the American Red Cross are collecting supplies for Hurricane Katrina's victims. All items may be placed in the large collection box in the school foyer. The needs change on almost a daily basis, so anything you can give would be truly appreciated. PALs, Student Council, JROTC, CLEAR and National Honor Society students will sort and deliver the gathered supplies. The students will not be collecting monetary donations. They should be sent to: The Greater Houston Red Cross, P.O. Box 201014, Houston, TX 77216. The current list of supplies needed includes: ready-to-use baby formula, all sizes of diapers and pull-ups, baby wipes, bottled water, anti-bacterial hand cleaner, anti-bacterial wipes, toothbrushes and toothpaste, deodorant, socks, soap bars and towels. They could also use: cards and compact games for kids, coloring books and crayons, lightweight blankets, pillows and canned goods.Football Schedules and Directions to Games
